Maybe it’s because they’re the polar opposite to me but I absolutely love a completely wacky and outrageous Japanese girl. I once saw a girl in a coffee shop in Sheffield with huge false eyelashes, a tiara and a beehive hairdo that would have put Winehouse to shame – and it was only one in the afternoon. This ostentatious and completely brave outlook on fashion has made Tokyo a hub of trendsetting talent where many style forecasters go to seek out the future global trends.
